How to find us

Appletree Children’s Centre and Nursery School is ideally situated and easy to access from much of Lancaster. The Centre is used by families from across the district.

Travelling by car from the Lancaster one-way system

Keep left heading through the City going North. At Waterstone’s bookshop turn left. Follow the road over the railway and keep on going along Westbourne Road. Continue over the hill and down to a mini-roundabout where you should turn right.

Follow the road, Willow Lane, past the Spare shop on your left hand side. Milking Style Lane is the third road on your right just before you reach Willow Lane Primary School. Appletree Children’s Centre is roughly 100 yards up on your left.

Travelling on foot or by bicycle

If you’re going along Westbourne Road there is a footpath at the foot of the hill that cuts through to Milking Style Lane saving a long journey. From here a network of footpaths and cycle lanes connects through to Dallas Road, Aldcliffe and Abraham Heights.

At the end of Willow Lane it’s a short walk or cycle to join the River Lune cycle and walking path and the cycle path at Giant Axe. From here its an easy journey to the Ridge, Newton, bus station and over the bridge to Skerton and Scale Hall.
